The CYPD Hub is for families who live in Barking and Dagenham, who has a SEND child under the age of 18 years old.
The CYPD Hub runs a range of different activities during term time and school holidays such as:
- Coffee Morning – monthly information sessions that covers common challenges children with disabilities and families experience
- Family Water Fun – a hydrotherapy pool available for PMLD children only, equipped with sensory tools that will enhance children’s experience
- Play and Communicate – for children 0-5 years with speech and language needs to explore different range of activities that support their communication
- Creative Minds – Arts & Crafts, Outdoor Play Area, Structured Session Time, Instrument Station
The Family Hubs, Family Navigators and Early Help outreach services are for parents of children aged up to 19 (or 25 for young people with special educational needs and disabilities). Find them in Barking, Dagenham and Marks Gate.
The Family Navigators help families find and use the services they need. They can:
- point you towards the support you are looking for
- help with childcare, healthcare, housing and more
- work with families and help them get what they need
