Your team will be contacted any time after the 28th week of pregnancy to introduce you to Antenatal services. This will also give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have in relation to your pregnancy and the birth of your baby.

NHS NELFT 0-5 years Service

Health Visitors are qualified nurses from a variety of nursing backgrounds. Their Universal Plus Service supports children and families that may need additional support with health or social needs. With this service health visitors work with other professionals such as the speech and language therapist, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, the child development team, early years educational team etc.

NHS NELFT School Nursing Teams

NHS NELFT School Nursing Teams

The School Nursing Teams work with children and families from aged 5 up to 19 years. The teams work from health centre’s and work in partnership with their allocated schools. The teams provide support to schools, families and children, including those with disabilities and complex emotion needs.

The emotional wellbeing and mental health services (also known as CAMHS) delivers a range of services to support emotional wellbeing, behavioural and mental health difficulties for children and young people in Barking and Dagenham.

The team is an integrated, multi-disciplinary team support children, young people and their families where they are suspected autistic traits to ensure timely, effective and efficient diagnostic assessment, pre and post diagnostic support, necessary interventions and needs-led offers.
