In 2024, SEND Team and Just Say Parent Carer Forum made an exciting breakthrough by launching Parents Evening with SEND Local Offer Network at our special schools bridging the gap between our key SEND community resources and SEND families during school parents’ evenings. The response was overwhelming – every single parent who attended rated the event as both informative and valuable.
This year we’re excited to continue our journey with Trinity School. Once again, we’ve built meaningful connections with parents and our key SEND service providers. A wholehearted thank you to the Trinity School for their warm welcome and exceptional efforts in coordination and preparation. Parents who attended found our support extremely beneficial.
This year, we’ve also reached out to our alternative provision, Mayesbrook Park School. A heartfelt thank you to Mayesbrook Park School for their support of this event. SEND Team also had the opportunity to conduct joint home visits with Mayesbrook Park School. This collaboration has provided enhanced support for accessing the SEND Local Offer community resources more effectively for our outreach families who may find it challenging to attend parents evenings. We truly appreciate our dedicated frontline school colleagues who go above and beyond to support our children and families who are temporarily unable to attend school due to special circumstances.
